This is the title of Kyle Idleman’s book that challenges Christians to be completely committed followers of Jesus. The dictionary defines a fan as “an enthusiastic admirer”. Fans want to be close enough to Jesus to get all the benefits, but not so close that it requires sacrifice. Jesus was never interested in having admirers. It’s not fans He is looking for. “not a fan” challenges you to consider what it really means to call yourself a Christian. His call to follow may seem radical to us, but Jesus desires it for every believer.

The Christian life is one of adventure and growth in Christ. Sometimes the greatest struggle is in knowing how to get started in your walk with Christ. Jesus commissions us to make disciples but it’s hard to make disciples if we’re unsure of our own walk with Jesus. This class will enable you to grow in Christ and gain confidence to disciple others in their walk with Christ.

It was Jesus’ habit to teach in parables, short earthly stories designed to pique the listener’s interest in spiritual truths and to teach about the kingdom of God. His parables were perplexing enough to cause even his disciples to ask, Why do you teach in parables? Gain a deeper understanding of God and His kingdom through this study of the parables of Jesus.

Sam Sisley is a tremendously talented basketball player from South Hampton, England. He uses his basketball talents to share his personal testimony of the transforming power of Christ. He came to the US to play college basketball and has found a home here in the States. At the end of his presentation he asks the kids to offer their gifts and talents to the Lord by writing them down and placing them in an offering plate.
